I still have a low fever even after advil...and I'm eagerly awaiting my next dose at 12AM. Body aches, congestion, cough, and watery eyes. Plus I'm bleeding all over everything which is just fan-freaking-tastic.

The VV left the office early and worked from home so he could take care of me. He heated up soup for me and boiled water for tea. After dinner I watched Blue Planet while soaking in a hot bubble bath.

It's nice being taken care of sometimes.

So yeah. I don't feel too great.

Went to J Lounge Saturday evening after a gallery reception and dinner.

Went to the restroom w/ Maria and April not too long after arriving. A group of girls came in while we were in there.

"OH MY GOD it is so hot in there!" said a girl in a white sweater.

"A sweater was not the right thing to wear here." said one of her friends.

"My back is like, seriously all sweaty. Can you guys wipe my back?"

At this point I glance over to the group of girls standing right outside of one of the stalls. The sweater-girl is standing there in her sweater and her G-string, skirt pulled down to her knees, while her friends (3 or 4 of them) laugh and wipe her down with paper towels.

"Okay...I am not wiping your butt!"

Amazingly enough, Maria did not see any of this going on (I guess she was too busy fixing her makeup or something?) and April was in one of the stalls when all this was going on, so I had no other witnesses to this incident.

All I'm wondering is a) couldn't you have gone into one of the stalls to do this? you were taking up a lot of room in the bathroom plus I feel weird watching you guys but it's hard not to in that tiny bathroom and b) why do you need to take off your skirt to get your back wiped down?

Lina: She said she doesn't know what a penis looks like!
Kelly: We should go look one up right now!
Leanne: No...we can't...it's going to make me hungry!

• People cannot dance. Maybe it was just the time of year (January == fewer people), but I dunno =\ Plus, people don't dance quite as...crazy. Ahem.
• But...there's actually room to dance! There are so many people just hanging out on the fringes of the dance floor...and so (relatively speaking) few dancing! It was nice :)
• If someone starts breakdancing, everyone will stand around and watch. I was having serious flashbacks to youth group dances of my middle school/high school days.
• Hot commodity during low season HOOOOOOOOO! (say it like Hard Gay!)
• Guys are a lot less forward than they are in Hollywood/Vegas/etc. Well, for the most part ;P

I don't think I'm going to be doing a big Maui update here...you can check out some of the photos and details of my trip in my Maui photoset. So much easier to do picture "blogs" there than here!

mentally i think i've already kind of checked out, though. i'm ready to go go go (i think)
