CRAAAZY weekend

I was all set to blog on Monday but I was so wiped out by nighttime that I just went to sleep. It was a long, crazy weekend. Let me explain...

3-WAY BIRTHDAY PARTY. wOOT woot.

So why is there a big black shadow on the bottom of the picture and why am I dressed like a St. Pauli girl. Well, the big black shadow is because I was too drunk to change lenses so all of my flash photos have a big black shadow on the bottom thanks to my huge wide angle lens and my on-camera flash. I suppose I could have brought out my point and shoot, but I was too drunk to do that, too.

And the costume? We had an Oktoberfest-themed party (aka the Axis of Evil Party because...German-themed party thrown by Japanese girls? Right) complete with costumes.

Of course, not everyone dressed up and some people dressed up in completely unrelated costumes (see above) but it's all good. It was kind of insanity. College friends brought in huge steins and a huge boot shaped glass (DAS BOOT) and man did those things hold a lot of beer. And man did we have a lot of beer. Four mini-kegs and about a hundred billion bottles. Needless to say, I was pretty hammered by the end of the night. Leanne (the other birthday girl) was too, and we both sustained party injuries. Me, scraped and bruised knees. Her, a chipped tooth from doing a vertical faceplant on the wall.

And, just one more picture. I chose this one specifically because it looks like Steve was trying to edge his way out of it. There's no escaping the wide angle lens!

Anyway, the real party started after the party was over. Leanne was drunker than she's ever been (not even exaggerating) and obviously couldn't drive home, so Denise and I walked her up to VV's second bedroom, got her changed out of her costume and into a hoodie and pants and she went to sleep on the floor. I stayed with her for a few minutes and then I went out to the living room and sat with Denise for a little while until her buzz wore off and then she went home and I went up to bed. This was about 2:30am.

In the meantime, VV had gone out to Denny's with some friends from the party. He got back at 3-something and got ready for bed. He told me he was playing a video game on his computer and was about to put it away and go to sleep when he heard some noise downstairs, so he got up to go check it out and then he heard a loud crash. He went down to look for Leanne. She wasn't on the second floor (where the second bedroom is) so he ran down to the first floor (entryway, door to garage and laundry room) and found blood all over the floor and smeared on one wall and the door to the garage. He said Leanne was just sitting on the floor by the laundry room with blood streaming down the left side of her face and that when he asked her what happened she kind of just muttered incoherently. I guess he went to go get stuff to clean her and the floor/wall up (paper towels, rubbing alcohol, cotton balls, etc) but when he gave her tissue and stuff to hold to her bleeding cut but that she kept trying to clean the floor instead. This is the point when he ran upstairs to get me. He ran into the room and woke me up, telling me to get dressed and hurry downstairs because Leanne had fallen down the stairs or something and that there was blood everywhere.

I got up and ran downstairs (it was around 3:45am at this point) and he was right...there were big drops of blood all over the floor and Leanne's head was still dripping all over the place. He gave her paper towels and tried to tell her that she needed to clean herself up but instead she started to wipe the floor. We finally got her to wipe the blood off her legs and that's when I realized that she wasn't wearing any pants...? I figured she had taken them off because she got hot or something while she was sleeping. Anyway, I walked her back upstairs to go to the bathroom to rinse off and after I left her in the bathroom I found her pants sitting on the floor of the living room. WTF?

Long story short (even though it's already pretty long) we all went to the ER (drove through some CRAZY fog) because the gash on her head was pretty bad and wouldn't stop bleeding. They gave her a cat scan and three stitches and we ended up getting back home at maybe 6:30am.

So what actually happened? Leanne and I lay on the floor and tried to piece things together after we got back from the hospital. We figured she'd sleepwalked (which she has never done before) from the room to the living room, took off her pants for whatever reason, and then maybe tried to make her way back to the room (?) but instead went down the stairs. Then we think she tripped or fell and hit her head on the small metal table he has in the entryway because I can't think of anything else in there that would have given her a cut like that.

We also theorized what would have happened if VV hadn't been awake to hear her fall. She predicted that she just would have ended up falling asleep where she was sitting. VV and I would have gone downstairs to look for her in the morning and would have found her by the laundry room, passed out with her head in a pool of blood. SCARY STUFF. We decided that VV saved her life and that we're both eternally grateful <3

Later, after Leanne had gone home (needed to go to the dentist to see what could be done about her chipped tooth man that girl had a crazy night) VV told me that he was surprised that he was able to handle everything as well as he had. "I'd always thought that I'd just puke in that kind of a situation." he said. "That would have really sucked." I replied. Then we would have had to clean up blood and puke. GROSS.

Anyway, that's what the crazy tweet was all about! Was completely shaken up and still slightly inebriated (sober enough to conduct myself decently but not sober enough to drive) and extremely tired. Hope I didn't scare anyone too much but fuckin A I was scared so dude, misery loves company!

Wow this was a long entry.
