So what the hell is this all about?!

I started webpaging not long after my dad finally broke down and got internet for our house which was the summer after my freshman year of high school (ahhh 1998). I got meself a geocities site and started to doodle around on it. I believe my first site was "launched" around September of that same year...which is exactly ten years ago. So this page is essentially a tenth anniversary page commemorating 10 years of webpaging! Not that it really matters, but whatev.

BTW, here's my old geocities page for anyone that's interested. Yes, I'm posting it even though it's embarassingly embarassing. I think the design that's up right now is maybe the third iteration of that particular page, debuted around Dec 98' Jan 99'.

Anyway, what I was really trying to do was bring back the old internets! Back when webpaging was all about heLLa tYtE graphix and designz and all everyone wanted to do was make their page pretty. Which I loved. Because I'm shallow like that! Back in the day before everyone and their mom (and my mom) had a blogspot/xanga/myspace/facebook and people actually thought I was weird for having a blog...or even having any sort of web presence at all! And yes, I'm briging back all those crazy extra pages that no one cares about. About page. Main page. Useless splash page. And a LINKS page. YES. Back before everyone squished all their links into a sidebar! Oh...and wait for it...wait for it...a GUESTBOOK. I have a GUESTBOOK now (check out the contact page to sign it!). Plus, this design is a bit of a throwback to a couple other designs I did back in the day...I'll try and dig them up and post them for your viewing pleasure.

All that said, this site is kind of pointless. I did it mostly for my own satisfaction. So, surf around, enjoy, and laugh at my poor design skills. But be nice when you sign my guestbook :) (ahahah PLUG)
