Two Boozes: P.I.N.K. Vodka and Veev
I'm not much of a hard liquor enthusiast (well, not anymore). I'd prefer a tasty, aromatic riesling or an ice-cold, refreshing Kirin to a shot of vodka (or even a hard-liquor cocktail) but these two new products were interesting enough to catch my eye.
Product number one (image to your left): P.I.N.K. vodka is a vodka that takes out the Red Bull middleman out of energy drink + vodka cocktails by adding upper (caffeine and guarana) to a downer (alcohol). I definitely have misgivings about this beverage. Number one, what will something like this do to your head?! I'm sure it's no worse than a vodka redbull, though. Second, will the energy infusions affect the taste? Not sure about this one. They're supposedly using premium vodka, but who knows.
Product number two (image to your right): Veev is a hard liquor made with Acai fruit. Acai is the trendy new superfood, given MAD PROPS by Oprah (seriously). Anyway, I'm just curious about the taste of this clear spirit. I wonder if any of the health benefits are present after fermentation and filtration (or whatever it is they do to make hard liquors)?
Still not sure where to buy these suckers... Labels: alcohol, beverage, vodka

Metromint Mint Water
Simply put, I like this beverage. There are many unhappy reviewers on the internet who hate this drink and liken drinking Metromint to swallowing toothpaste or mouthwash. I, however, happen to like the taste of toothpaste and mouthwash. As a child I think I would have happily consumed toothpaste like food if it weren't for my mother telling me horror stories of all kinds of sick I would become if I'd do so. Ditto for mouthwash.
So far I've tried peppermint and spearmint. Both were good, but I prefer peppermint. The water is unsweetened with just enough mint to make its presence knowns, but not enough to be overwhelming. This water is mos' excellent after meals...I prefer it to mints or gum.
I have four more bottles sitting in my apartment right now, including one Orangemint and one Lemonmint. We'll see how those go over in due time.
I bought my Metromint at BevMo! on sale for $1.29 a bottle. Labels: beverage, water

Vivienne Westwood Spring 2007 Dress
Vivienne Westwood is awesome. I think the first time I really noticed her clothes was when I was watching Sex and the City and saw the gorgeous pinstriped suit Carrie wore in season 4. The cut of it was so gorgeous.
Granted, VW makes some pretty off-the-wall stuff. But the ready to wear that actually makes it into the stores is all pretty amazing. It's the cut and drape that really get me.
I fell in love with this dress from her spring 2007 ready-to-wear collection (please ignore pink hair and oversized cowboy hat). I just can't get over the shape of it! As an added bonus, I think this cut would look great on petite girls...if it were scaled down to fit a petite girl, of course.
I have no idea how much this costs or where/if it will be made available for purchase, but it's safe to say that it will never fit me and I will not be able to afford it. Oh well. Labels: clothing, dress, runway, vivienne westwood

1977 Vintage Gold Halston Dress
This has got to be one of the most beautiful dresses I've ever seen. Ever. I almost died when I first laid eyes on it on this site...and almost died again when I looked at the price. Beautiful? Yes. But not three-months-rent beautiful (actually I can't think of anything that is three-months-rent beautiful but that's what I feel now...).
However, if you think it's worth the $3,325 price tag, then go over here to order. And then come here and flaunt your fancy purchase in front of my jealous self via the comment-box!

Louis Vuitton Bubble Ring
I don't like Louis Vuitton. It's just that it has crossed over into the realm of being a little too omnipresent to the point of being cliche. The brand sells itself, and something tells me the designers know it. Why else would they even attmept to sell such hideous bags? And why on earth do people insist on buying them? They do have some decent bags, but they're so knocked-off and such a hackneyed status symbol that I tend to shy away from LV purses.
That said, I do like this brass and clear resin ring!
Yes, it's a bit overpriced for a piece of costume jewelry, but it's Louis Vuitton, so what do you expect? It's a little bit quirky, and the monogram flowers, although recognizable, are not too obvious. I'd like to string this on a chain or two and wear it as a pendant.
Buy it here for $125. Also availabe in rose (a light, clear pink) and framboise (a deeper, clear pink). Labels: jewelry, louis vuitton, ring
