Friday, August 24, 2007 Amet and Sasha Amet and Sasha is the brainchild of indie designer Jesse Kelly-Landes who is now closing up shop after five years of business. Sucks? Yes. But the silver lining in this dark cloud is that all of her pieces (for as long as supplies last) are now 20% off. She is also having a studio sale of a bunch of pre-made pieces (meaning if she doesn't have your size, too bad for you) at even deeper discounts. Her Asymmetrical Skirt (to the left) would be lovely on a taller girl with nice legs (i.e. not me) and has been reduced from $65 to $51. Buy it here. Tuesday, May 08, 2007 Vivienne Westwood Spring 2007 Dress Vivienne Westwood is awesome. I think the first time I really noticed her clothes was when I was watching Sex and the City and saw the gorgeous pinstriped suit Carrie wore in season 4. The cut of it was so gorgeous. Granted, VW makes some pretty off-the-wall stuff. But the ready to wear that actually makes it into the stores is all pretty amazing. It's the cut and drape that really get me. I fell in love with this dress from her spring 2007 ready-to-wear collection (please ignore pink hair and oversized cowboy hat). I just can't get over the shape of it! As an added bonus, I think this cut would look great on petite girls...if it were scaled down to fit a petite girl, of course. I have no idea how much this costs or where/if it will be made available for purchase, but it's safe to say that it will never fit me and I will not be able to afford it. Oh well. 1977 Vintage Gold Halston Dress This has got to be one of the most beautiful dresses I've ever seen. Ever. I almost died when I first laid eyes on it on this site...and almost died again when I looked at the price. Beautiful? Yes. But not three-months-rent beautiful (actually I can't think of anything that is three-months-rent beautiful but that's what I feel now...). However, if you think it's worth the $3,325 price tag, then go over here to order. And then come here and flaunt your fancy purchase in front of my jealous self via the comment-box! Yes, I found something else to yearn for at that store...this warm-looking black cardigan with lovely white buttons by Sleeping on Snow. It comes in black, red, and pale green. I think I'd get it in either red or black. Get it here for the omega reasonable price of $68! Wednesday, November 08, 2006 "Novella" Corset Okay so it's a bit pricey, but when I tried it on I totally fell in love with it. That doesn't happen too often with clothing...so I bought it =X I couldn't help it, it fit so freaking perfectly and believe me for someone of my height and build that almost never happens. Perhaps it's because my back is in better shape than my front and I'm small-boobed enough to go braless if necessary. Whatever the case, this top is quite lovely although somehow I can't justify spending that much on a top I'd wear just once or twice.
