Vosges Dark Chocolate Truffles

I love dark chocolate and I love truffles and I also seem to love things that are overpriced and impractical (not that I purposely seek out the overpriced and impractical...it just happens). That said, I love these Vosges dark chocolate truffles and I am seriously wanting their little 9-piece box.

# Tlan Nacu (Mexican vanilla bean)
# Balsamico (balsamic vinegar + hazelnuts)
# Black Pearl (ginger + wasabi + black sesame seeds)
# Absinthe (Chinese star anise + fennel)
# Finnochio (fennel pollen)
# Budapest (Hungarian paprika)
# Red Fire (ancho chillies + cinnamon)
# Chef Pascal (Kirsch + dried cherry)
# Oaxaca (guajillo + pasilla chillies)

The flavors in bold are the ones I've tried thanks to a lovely and generous former coworker who had brought them back from Vegas one upon a time ago and I am dying to try the rest of them! These truffles are quite delicious...all of the ones I tried had chocolate ganache centers that were subtly infused with the various flavors. The shell was the perfect thickness and none of the flavors were too overpowering. Come to think of it...I think I want to try all of their truffles...and all of their Couture Cocoas and Exotic Ice Creams while I'm at it!

You can try them too by going here and forking over the requisite $25 for your own little nine pieces of heaven.
